Designing a Year That Feels Good: An At-Home Wellness Vision Board

A Gentle Way to Begin the New Year: Create Your Wellness Vision BoardAs a new year unfolds, I want to wish you a very Happy New Year.
May 2026 be a gentle invitation to slow down, live with intention, and reconnect with what your soul truly needs and desires.
Rather than rushing into resolutions or adding more to your to-do list, I invite you to begin this year in a more nourishing way—by creating an at-home Wellness Vision Board focused on the energy you want to carry into the year ahead.
This is not about doing more.
It’s about feeling more aligned.
This practice isn’t about perfection or productivity—it’s about intention and presence.
Before choosing goals or plans, pause and ask yourself:
How do I want to feel this year?
More calm?
More energy?
More joy, balance, or harmony?
A wellness vision board can help you:
Clarify your intentions for body, mind, and soul
Stay connected to what truly matters to you
Gently support your choices throughout the year
Before you start creating, take a few moments to slow down.
Find a quiet space.
Put on some soft, calming music.
Pour your favourite warm beverage.
Take a few slow, deep breaths. Close your eyes and envision the year ahead.
Imagine how you want your days to feel, how you want to show up in the world, and how you want to care for yourself.
Let this vision guide you.
When you feel ready, choose a free template on Canva and begin selecting words, images, quotes, and colours from their free resources—elements that feel nourishing and supportive to your soul.
Choose what resonates. Trust what feels good.
To make it easy (and fun!), here are a few free Canva templates to help you get started:

Tip: You can create a vision board on your phone, but the experience is often more enjoyable on a laptop or iPad, where it’s easier to explore, play, and see the full layout.
When your vision board is complete, place it somewhere you’ll see it often:
As your phone wallpaper
A laptop screensaver
Inside a journal
Or in a quiet corner of your home
Let it serve as a gentle reminder to keep choosing you.
I’m sharing my personal vision board with you above.
This year, my intention is simple: to care for my soul and move forward while trusting the natural flow of life.
I’m choosing presence, nourishment, and connection—with harmony and ease.
Thank you for being here and allowing me to share this space with you.
I hope this practice supports you in caring for yourself with kindness and intention throughout the year ahead.
Be Well,
Josie Knowles,
RN, RNP, HTP-A, CYT200
P.S. If you feel called to share, I’d love to see what you create. You’re welcome to share a photo of your vision board on Facebook and tag me @JosieKnowlesWellness.
