Spring offers us the perfect opportunity to cleanse and renew—not just our homes, but our energy and intentions as well. Decluttering goes beyond tidying up—it helps clear stagnant energy, create mental clarity, and invites positive changes into our lives.

Here are 10 mindful tips to help you declutter your space, clear your mind, and open your heart to new possibilities this season:

1. Set an Intention Before you start decluttering, take a moment to reflect on your “why.” Are you making space for creativity, peace, organization, abundance, etc..? Setting an intention aligns your efforts with your heart’s desires.

2. Clear One Space at a Time Start small—perhaps a single drawer, your closet, or your bedside table. Clearing even one space can create an immediate sense of relief and motivation. Keep going!

3. Let Go of What No Longer Serves You Whether it’s old clothes, unread books or outdated beliefs, releasing what no longer supports your journey allows fresh energy to flow in.

4. Donate with Gratitude Bless the items you no longer need and pass them on to someone who can use them. Acts of giving amplify positive energy and invite abundance into your life.

5. Open the Windows & Invite Fresh Air Fresh air and sunlight naturally cleanse and energize a space. Open your windows to let the stagnant energy drift away.

6. Smudge or Diffuse Essential Oils Use sage, palo santo, or essential oils like lavender or citrus to refresh your space. Aromatherapy can uplift your spirit and bring a sense of renewal.

7. Digitally Declutter Clear out old emails, organize your desktop, and remove apps you no longer use. A digital cleanse reduces mental clutter and enhances focus.

8. Rearrange & Refresh Your Space Sometimes, simply shifting furniture or adding a plant can make a space feel new and vibrant. Small changes can shift energy in powerful ways.

9. Practice the One-In, One-Out Rule For every new item you bring in, release something else. This keeps your space balanced and prevents future clutter.

10. Create a Sacred Space Dedicate a corner of your home for meditation, journaling, or quiet reflection. A sacred space allows you to ground yourself and cultivate inner peace. (Stay tuned for a future workshop on this subject!)

Decluttering is more than just a spring ritual—it’s an act of self-care and an invitation for new beginnings. As you clear your space, may you also clear your mind and open your heart to the abundance that awaits.

Are you ready to step into spring renewal? What are you ready to let go of this season?

Be Well.
