According to a recent survey by Healthy Women, a shocking 78% of women put themselves at the BOTTOM of their priority list, if they even make it to the list at all. They are so busy taking care of others that they neglect their own self-care and scheduling their health appointments. That's over 3/4 of the adult female population! Is it any wonder that so many women suffer with:

  • Burnout
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Fatigue
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Depression
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Feeling disconnected
  • Mental & emotional exhaustion
  • Lack of motivation
  • Obesity
  • Anger
  • Resentment
  • Feeling unappreciated

Self-care is the practice of taking an active role in one's own well-being and happiness. It is not indulgent or selfish. You owe it to yourself one hour a day of self maintenance. It might include reading, journaling, yoga, meditation, exercise, dancing, bubble bath, listening to music, painting, or whatever, but you owe it to yourself! One hour, 1/24, of your day. That's less than 5%. Take a break before you break down!

Please stop viewing yourself as an afterthought and thinking of self-care as a reward....And start seeing yourself as something important, a non-negotiable, a priority!
